San Diego
The Bay of San Diego was discovered in 1542 by Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, the Spanish Conquistador. In 1769, the first European Settlement in California was founded in San Diego, and the first mission was established by Padre Junipero Serra. Today, San Diego is the 2nd largest city in California and is truly an American International City.


Sight Seeing
Delegates may travel by tour bus with escorts and translators to visit various sites of interest.
  • Harbor and military sites: Naval museum ships, and air station/base facilities.
  • City of San Diego sites: Mission Basilica de Alcala, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, and Horton Plaza.
  • Memorial sites: Memorial services to honor lost boats and all submariners on “Eternal Patrol.”
